About Us |
Dave Schmidt, artist and owner began Worth Framing
in October, 1998 when he needed to find a frame for some album art that he
wanted to preserve. Having always been interested in art, Dave has a Bachelor of
Arts, in art degree, and having previously made a few wood frames for oil and
water color paintings that he painted, he believed that he could also make
frames for the album covers. It worked! It was fun and looked good, and
Dave has gradually added to his skills, his inventory, and his customer base.
One repeat customer has had Dave furnish her entire log home with his frames
for their wedding and family photos, their rural art, advertising art, and other
framed collectibles. Roger Schmidt, retired from 25 years government
service believes that he can put his business degree and 25 years experience to
use in marketing and selling Dave's art, and have something fun to do during
retirement. Both brothers have mid-western (Belleville, Illinois) values of
honesty, integrity, and dependability and have a wish for their customers to
enjoy their art. "We will be happy when you are" is their motto to live by. They
are also preservationists and are environmentally conscious in making their
product. The wood comes from old oak barns that needed taking down (Ozark
mountain oak), the glass from old recycled windows, and acid free paper matting.
Our future rests with the preservation and nurturing of your environment. We
look forward to many years of helping to make your home, office, and environment
pleasant and enjoyable and full of our art!
